Keep the worldwide Moth community informe! Give us more photos and short (smartphone-) videos.

I agree with Carlo. The lack of video coverage of this year’s International Moth worlds is quite disappointing compared with last year. This is the most exciting dinghy class with loads of amazing sailors competing and after three days of racing, seven races, there is negligible video coverage. Is there no budget for this or is it not possible to film? The still photos are great but what is fantastic is proper video of the actual racing. Seven races gone already and only a few scratchy camera phone grabs on Facebook. It’s a real shame.

    • Hi Kevin and Carlo,

The Moth Worlds Media Team has produced HD highlight reels each day, along with over a dozen interviews of the racers spread over our Vimeo page and Facebook page. Additionally, Sailing Anarchy’s “Mr. Clean” is posting short smartphone videos from every start, mark rounding, and finish. World famous sailing photographer Thierry Martinez is posting dozens of photos to the Facebook page as well as the gallery here. Note that you do not need to be a Facebooker to check all this content out.

That’s two or three times the content of the previous two Moth Worlds…

Sorry you didn’t get the news earlier, but we hope you enjoy what you have to offer.

I totally agree to you two. Last year as well as Belmont was perfect up-to-date video coverage. Vimeo is nice, but unfortunately all moth sailors who couldn’t make it to Hawaii (not a small number) want to be informed.
